How to clone a MacBook hard drive without an external drive?

I have a 100GB hard drive in my macbook, i bought a new 500GB one and i want to install it. I know how to physically do it, but I want all my current applications and data to be on the new one. The problem is I do not have an external drive to backup to. Is it possible without it?
