How to fix MacBook volume control issue?

So every time I press the button on my keyboard to make the sound louder a calculator, clock, calender, and weather thing pops up. When I press the button to make the sound go down whatever window I'm on disappears. And when I press the mute button my window shrinks.
Currently I have muted the volume but when I turn it on a voice narrates every thing that I click.

How can I fix this?!
