You shouldn't have any problems unless you are running a bunch of memory hungry apps at the same time. You can get special deals as a studnet at the Apple education store on line. Usually the computers are a couple hundred less and the throw something else in free. The glossy screen is a bit sharper but does have reflections. They know all this and are crazy helpful.
