Which is better, HP laptop running OS X or a MacBook?
I need a new laptop and I am on a tight budget (Max 00). I have been looking at Apples which I LOVE, and then the touchsmart. If I run mac os x on the touchsmart, I get the atvantage of a touch screen I can write on. With the mac, it is an actual mac instead of running leopard on virtual pc. Which is better? Cheaper? More efficient overall?
Actually if you run the Mac OS X on the touchscreen through something like VMware your are still getting an altered version of the Mac OS X. Things like your Wi-Fi, touchscreen, usb ports are probably not going to work. Since Macbooks don't come in tablet form that's definitely not going to be supported by Leopard. Axiotron has to integrated their own software to make the Modbook.
If you just like the look of leopard you can just get a leopard skin for Windows, a rocketdock, and then you can download some widgets and it'll look the same.
cant beet a macbook, thats what im using right now, ive had mine 3 years and not 1 single problem, and now they r even better, u end up spending less money in the end bc u dont have to buy antivirus. plus they are much better computers. i love mine
You cannot run OSX on that HP touchsmart, well without some serious work and knowledge about computers. The touchscreen would probably not be supported in OSX. Mac or PC. Its up to you.
Ok i think you should get a mac… my bro is in sixth grade he has a macbook he loves it it was like 1500 dollars but you can get a white 1 for like 1200 or 1000 they are really good and really cool and getting the tiger running on it would take a while… and to get the pprogram some money its like 50 bucks…. hope i helped!

If you are on a budget, go with the HP touchsmart, and you can install leopard on one of the partitions, just to experiment. I dont know how the touch screen would interact with OS X, but you could try it? If you have the money to spend to get the right specs, go with the Mac all the way. And get ready to get a bunch of BS responses from Micro$oft haters (apple wh*res) that OS X on a PC is illegal, EULA Violations, blah blah blah, just tell them to go to hell!!! Good luck…

Please consider revise your choice as I don't see the potential running Mac OS on a PC platform..
