Which to buy – Sony Vaio or MacBook Pro 15?

I like the vaio because it has an 18.4 inch screen and it has a full hd display. its a big laptop but the battery life is bad and heavy. the macbook 15 is smaller and lighter with a lot better battery but a worse display. i like the mac operating system alot more than windows. the vaio aw is 1300 dollars and the macbook pro is 1600. which is better?
