Is it worth getting AppleCare for a Macbook Pro?

I'm thinking about buying a 13-inch macbook pro, and I'm wondering about getting the AppleCare... I just want to know some common things that go wrong, and how much it costs to fix the computer. Also, how long do they last before something goes wrong?
